Updated February 3, 2023: Just as it was last year, February is apparently the month that a bunch of big-name titles are dropping into our lap. The most we can do is prepare ourselves and revel in the abundance of games we'll be able to play this month. Happy gaming!
This Week's Highlights
- In his review of Deliver Us Mars, Issy van der Velde critiques the game for "ignoring its indie roots," stating "In attempting to emulate the cinematic aesthetic of many narrative-driven triple-A games, Deliver Us Mars lost a lot of what made Deliver Us The Moon work."
- Initially set to launch in March, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been delayed until April 28. It's not a massive wait, but given how highly anticipated Survivor is, it's one that hurts.
January 2023 Games
The Dead Space remake comes out in January. Is there any other reason to be excited about this month? Holy moly, Forspoken is set to launch this month too, as is Fire Emblem Engage. 2023 is off to one hell of a strong start based on these three games alone.

In a stunning repeat of last year, February is once again when the game industry has decided to lighten our wallets and absorb all our waking hours. March 2023 Games
We've been waiting years for news of the Resident Evil 4 remake, so what's a few months? We only have to wait a measly couple of months into 2023 before we can revisit Leon Kennedy's infamous trip to Spain. Not only that, but PC players will be able to dive into the visual splendor of The Last of Us Part 1, and the Star Wars fandom can unite in anticipation of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

After several delays, Dead Island 2 is set to release in April. Footage of the game looks pretty good, and so far, this is the shining star release of this month. But given the intriguing trailers for Meet Your Maker, we wouldn't be surprised if that's the underdog winner of April 2023!

May 2023 Games
It's here. The big one. The one we've all been waiting for. May brings with it one of the most highly anticipated games of all time. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was almost unanimously everyone's game of the year, so it awaits to be seen if Tears of the Kingdom will be 2023's. We've also got Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launching this month, so that's two big ones for May.
